Who is Trova?
Trova is a friend who knows the city. You tell it what you feel like and it walks you there. Reading minds is still on the list.
TROVA
Berăria din Pasaj, on Lipscani. It is warm, they keep the music down, and the beer comes from a small brewery in Transylvania. Eight minutes on foot, nearly all of it under cover — shall I take you?
Berăria din Pasaj · bar · open until 01:00
The same friend in Cluj in January and in Vama Veche in August. It knows the hour, the weather and what is open where you are.

“Somewhere shaded, with the children?”
La Cherhana, at the far end of the beach. Reed umbrellas, small portions for children, and the water is shallow right in front of it. Ten minutes south along the sand.
Cherhana · Vama Veche · open until 23:00

“It is raining. What now?”
The Brukenthal Museum, in Piața Mare. Three minutes away, quiet at this hour, and you will want an hour and a half. By the time the sun is out you are already in the centre.
Brukenthal Museum · Sibiu · open until 19:00

“Which is the best club in Bucharest?”
Honestly? I do not know enough to tell you which one is “the best”. I do know where locals go on a Friday: a small bar in the Old Town, good music, no queue. Want me to tell you where?
Sometimes it does not know. Then it says so, rather than pretending.
Other apps hand you a list and leave you to choose. Trova chooses — and tells you why. If you do not like it, you say “something else”.
We only go somewhere new once we know it as well as the first. We are not promising dates.
We start with a single city and learn it street by street — winter and summer — before going any further.
The large cities, the mountains, the Delta, the coast. City by city, only once we know it well.
The same friend in another country, in your language. Not a translated guidebook — someone who knows the place.
